This workshop centers empowerment, boundary setting, and the deep connection between personal and collective safety.

You’ll learn:
  • Practical self-defense techniques grounded in Aikido principles, trauma informed, and empowerment based practices
  • Tools for verbal and physical boundary setting
  • Safety tips and situational awareness
  •  How to use your body and voice as instruments of power and protection
  • Bystander intervention strategies: how to show up for others with courage and skill
This training is BIPOC- and queer-lead, trauma-informed, and open to all genders and experience levels LGBTQIA+ . Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or looking to deepen your understanding of embodiedpractice, this is a space for you.

Taught by aikido instructors Neilufar Naini (they) & Ea Murphy. (she/they) 

Sliding scale registration available (suggested $35-$75.) No uniform or prior martial arts experience needed. If you need a scholarship or would like to contribute more, please contact us.
